Who we are

This policy explains how Highlife Media (“Highlife”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through www.highlife.media (the “site”). If you have a question about this policy or your data, email hello@highlife.media.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, company or brand (optional), inquiry type, and message.

Information collected automatically. When you submit the form we also record the date and time and your browser’s user-agent string. Our analytics (Google Analytics 4) collects information about your visit — pages viewed, how you arrived, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and interactions such as button clicks and form submissions. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP addresses, to operate and secure the site.

How we use it

  • To read and reply to your inquiry and manage any resulting business relationship.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve its content and performance.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We process contact-form information to respond to your request and on the basis of our legitimate interest in handling business inquiries. We process analytics data on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site, or your consent where the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site, under contracts that limit their use of it:

  • Vercel — website hosting and server logs.
  • Resend — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox by email.
  • Sanity — stores site content and a copy of contact-form submissions.
  • Google — Google Analytics 4 (site analytics) and Google Fonts (web fonts, which receive your IP address when fonts load).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (for example, _ga) to distinguish visitors and sessions. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings or opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form submissions for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting relationship, and delete them when they are no longer needed. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in our Analytics account. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and operations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

International transfers

Our service providers may process personal information in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

The site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
