How the calculator works
JustForFans says performers "receive 80% for all sales across the board", and exclusive performers receive 85% on tips, store sales, private media sales and SMS (JustForFans Help). The calculator applies the fee on subscriptions and, separately, on tips and private sales, so you can model the exclusive program.
- Fans spend = paying subscribers × (subscription price + private media and store sales per subscriber + tips per subscriber).
- JustForFans fee = subscriptions × 20% + (private sales + tips) × 20%, or × 15% in the exclusive program.
- You take home = fans spend − JustForFans fee − agency commission.
Worked examples
Three sets of inputs run through the same formula as the calculator. They show how the math works; they are not typical or expected JustForFans earnings, which depend entirely on your own audience and prices.
| Example | Paying subscribers | Price / month | PPV + tips per subscriber | Agency | Fans spend | JustForFans fee | You keep / month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| A: subscriptions only | 100 | $9.99 | $0.00 | None | $999 | $200 | $799 |
| B: subscriptions plus PPV and tips | 250 | $9.99 | $5.00 | None | $3,748 | $750 | $2,998 |
| C: with a 30% agency | 1,000 | $14.99 | $10.00 | 30% of gross | $24,990 | $4,998 | $12,495 |
With the exclusive program's 85% share on tips and private sales, example B would keep $3,060 a month instead of $2,998.
