How the calculator works

Passes' creator terms state: "We take a 20% fee of all credit/debit Sales" (Passes Creator Terms, Payments to Sellers). The calculator applies that fee to what your paying subscribers spend, subtracts any agency commission, and shows what's left.

  • Fans spend = paying subscribers × (membership price + paid content per subscriber + tips per subscriber).
  • Passes fee = fans spend × 20%.
  • You take home = fans spend − Passes fee − agency commission.

One caveat from the same terms: Passes pays your percentage of its net consideration, defined as what it actually receives on a sale less fees, taxes and third-party expenses such as payment processing. If your statements show processing costs taken before the split, raise the fee field to match what you actually see.

Worked examples

Three sets of inputs run through the same formula as the calculator. They show how the math works; they are not typical or expected Passes earnings, which depend entirely on your own audience and prices.
