How the calculator works
OnlyFans keeps 20% of every payment fans make, whether it's a subscription, a tip, or a pay-per-view message, and pays creators the other 80%. The calculator multiplies your paying subscribers by what each one spends a month, takes off OnlyFans' share and any agency commission, and shows what's left.
- Fans spend = paying subscribers × (subscription price + tips and pay-per-view per subscriber).
- You take home = fans spend × 80% × (1 − agency commission).
- Subscribers needed = income goal ÷ what you keep per subscriber.
Two numbers move your income more than anything else: how much each subscriber spends beyond the subscription, and how many subscribers stay each month. Our guides to pricing subscription tiers and average churn rates cover both, and how much OnlyFans takes vs other platforms compares the fees. On your own site there's no 20% platform cut: the creator platform calculator shows what you'd keep, and Highlife can run the site for you.
Frequently asked questions
How much does OnlyFans take from creators?
OnlyFans takes 20% of everything fans pay: subscriptions, tips, and pay-per-view messages. Creators keep the other 80%, before their own taxes and costs.
How do you calculate OnlyFans earnings?
Add up what fans pay each month (paying subscribers × subscription price, plus tips and pay-per-view), then keep 80% after OnlyFans' 20% fee. Subtract any agency commission and your own costs to get take-home.
How many subscribers do you need to make $5,000 a month on OnlyFans?
At a $9.99 subscription with about $5 a month in tips and pay-per-view per subscriber, you keep roughly $12 per subscriber after the 20% fee, so you'd need about 420 paying subscribers. Raise revenue per subscriber and the number you need falls.
What should I charge for my OnlyFans subscription?
OnlyFans lets you set a monthly price between $4.99 and $49.99, or run a free page and earn from pay-per-view. Many creators earn more from tips and pay-per-view than from the subscription itself, so revenue per subscriber matters more than the headline price.
